Rachel + Hans | Engagement | Manhattan, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

Say hello to Rachel and Hans, a lovely couple that is getting married this September. Their light spirits, creative minds, and, most importantly, their love for each other leaves me so eager for their autumn wedding. I can only imagine what they are going to pull together!

Their shoot was jam packed with ideas as you'll see below---a DIY tent fashioned together with the help of family heirlooms and Hans' refined boy scout skills, freshly picked wildflowers, and a clear passion for books. The great people at The Dusty Bookshelf were kind enough to let us use their space for some fun, literature-filled photos.

Something super special about these two? They're hitting the pause button on kissing until their wedding day. I can't imagine how hard that will be, but I can only guess they are motivated by their love for Jesus and their desire to pursue purity---even up to the moment they say "I do."

Scroll away for some fun-loving engagement goodness, and leave them some love in the comments. section!

Elizabeth + Sean | Manhattan, KS Engagement Photographer | Rose Wheat Photography

Elizabeth and Sean were easily the most giggly couple I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. It's kind of insane how stinking happy they are--not just as individuals, but together. I would venture to say that every moment they are together, they are at their happiest simply because they're together.

Three and a half years of dating, and Elizabeth and Sean having officially decided to tie the knot. No matter what, I know their wedding is going to be a joy-filled event. When happy people throw a party, happiness seems to be the host more than the people themselves. Keep your eyes peeled this June to see if my little prediction proves true!

In the meantime, wish these two well as they are days away from uniting in holy matrimony!

We had a little tilt-shift fun. What you see here is the result of asking happy people not to smile... more smiles!

We were blessed with an amazing Kansas sunset that was absolutely showing off for these two. Cherry. On. Top.

Kate + Drew | Engagement | Manhattan, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

They started talking out of convenience. Both of them had just moved from Kansas State University to Texas where they shared an internship. Neither of them knew anyone else, so understandably they started hanging out. One thing lead to another and before they knew it, Drew was proposing to her during Christmas time in New York City.

We got started on a cute note with Kate and Drew's engagement session, fully armed with a tandem bicycle rented from the all too adorable Varsity Donuts and a bouquet of balloons from Acme Gift. It was a truly local Manhattan engagement.

After the first outfit change we were blessed with a washing of sunshine. All of us were hoping it would make an appearance. Who doesn't like a little backlighting and lens flares? We tromped around the Konza Prairie and ended at a nearby dirt road to make things a little country.

We were a little chilly when we wrapped things up, but it was all in all kind of a really fun shoot. :)

Wish them a beautifully happy engagement, and I wish you all a happy Monday!
