Katie + Josh | Wedding | Topeka, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

There's nothing more calming on a wedding day than to walk in to a room of girls getting ready, and find them perfectly content as they help a beautiful and dear woman to them prepare to become a bride. Her dress, her bouquet, her veil---all details were uniquely set to personality so that when it came to to see her groom for the first time, it just fit.

Katie and Josh are such a genuinely sweet couple, who seem to care about others far more than themselves. As a bride, Katie was hospitable and eager to give others attention while Josh was serving and kind. It was not surprising that with a couple this wonderful, the guests were more than ready to celebrate their union to the fullest.

Katie had her make-up down at the Clinique station in the West Ridge Mall.

There's nothing more precious than giving the bride and groom a set-aside time to see each other in all of their wedding glory. The first look before their ceremony creates the perfect space for this!

Gage Park provided the perfect setting for portraits.

Josh and Katie exchanged vows Northland Christian Church.

These two were gracious enough to make room after their ceremony for a few more portraits at the Kansas capital building, and I will be forever grateful! The light was bomb diggity, and they had a certain "just-married" glow about them.

While their styling was clean and classic, their reception was a chance for everyone to let their hair down. After they cut their cake, the party really got started and everyone--bride and groom alike--got jiggy with it.

Shooting your wedding was a beautiful experience, and I am so thankful for having the chance to photograph your day!

  1. Loving these lustrous and glossy pictures. Looking for a professional photographer to cover my best friend's boutique opening ceremony at one of the nearly located event space NYC in a couple of weeks. All booking for catering, simple décor and venue are done. It's all in her budget. Also want some unique ideas to make it more special and attractive for guests.
