Kate + Drew | Engagement | Manhattan, KS | Rose Wheat Photography

They started talking out of convenience. Both of them had just moved from Kansas State University to Texas where they shared an internship. Neither of them knew anyone else, so understandably they started hanging out. One thing lead to another and before they knew it, Drew was proposing to her during Christmas time in New York City.

We got started on a cute note with Kate and Drew's engagement session, fully armed with a tandem bicycle rented from the all too adorable Varsity Donuts and a bouquet of balloons from Acme Gift. It was a truly local Manhattan engagement.

After the first outfit change we were blessed with a washing of sunshine. All of us were hoping it would make an appearance. Who doesn't like a little backlighting and lens flares? We tromped around the Konza Prairie and ended at a nearby dirt road to make things a little country.

We were a little chilly when we wrapped things up, but it was all in all kind of a really fun shoot. :)

Wish them a beautifully happy engagement, and I wish you all a happy Monday!
