Karis + Jon | Wedding | Orange City, IA

Exquisite. That's really all that can be said about Karis and Jon's wedding (apart from rustic, creative, elegant, heartfelt, authentic, and a little big vintage). No detail was forgotten. Down to the very last lace flower, they thought of it all. Such care for the small things tells me that Karis and Jon take pay the same attention to the details in their relationship, that even with a busy life they slow down to see what really matters.

See what I mean as you glance through the pages from the beginning of their life story.

Hello old Hollywood star.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, as per Karis' request. :)

This is such an adorable progression of First Look shots. It was a beautiful  moment for them because they got two seconds to themselves away from the madness of it all.

Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City offered a wide array of shooting locations. This wedding photographer was clam happy.

Before the ceremony, all of the guests met with Jon to hold their own ALS walk in support of Jon's brother-in-law who is afflicted by the disease.

At the end of the ALS walk, they offered hot chocolate to all the walkers. It was much needed as fall struck early this year and everyone was a little bit more chilly than normal.

Loved this wooden tree puzzle guestbook idea. It was simply lovely.

Moments before the ceremony, the wind cause a tree to fill the sky with its leaves. It was like snowfall in the autumn. We all felt like we were dreaming.

All of the groomsmen, with the utmost chivalry, shed their jackets to warm the ladies once they reached the front of the aisle.

In the minutes between the ceremony and their fleeing to their getaway car, I begged politely asked Karis and Jon if they would let me grab a shot of them in this island of dreamland. Clearly they obliged.

Everything about this moment was begging for some freelensing fun.
